styley mass

ok so I have been a bit shy of posting and daif is busy with his ~band~ but I want to use this post to express a long term observed interest of mine: namely the ~rising trend~ of so called street style blogs that serve as instrumental means to 'democratizing' fashion. The assumption here seems to be that they supposedly blur the elitist selectivism inherent in the world of fashion and trends through the wonderous impartial conjecture into the hoi polloi, on the hunt for that 'stand out' detail. Does not seem true to me as you'd have to be looking good or in or be giovanna bataille to be featured on them etc.

Anyways not trying to sound so crude. Wish awesome clothes weren't so expensive cos I can't afford anything I want lol. I'm interested in the almost mercurial speed the mass markets catch up on absorbing and producing their interpretations of the 'latest', where origins of a particular design or its referents become diluted to a point of obscurity (although this can't be said to be not true of its higher counterpart either) and how the expression of individuality is negated in this miasma of apparent sameness.

Uhhh, stfu alreadz? so to skip to the conclusion: am going to start a street snap thread on this blog lol \\ Thinking i'll use this to validate the scopophilic buzz I get when I see people walking on the street.
